When investing in a slurry pump, you want to pump slurry that includes solids, not just dirty water. Therefore, it is important to make sure that the pump is doing this; by using an agitator, the pump is fed with solids and pumping the slurry.

Read MoreEspecially when the dredging depth reaches 20m or more, the above situation will be more obvious. The use of underwater pumps can effectively improve the above situation. The lower the installation position of underwater pumps, the smaller the suction resistance and vacuum, which can obviously reduce the losses during the work and improve the working efficiency. The installation of underwater pump can effectively increase the dredging depth and improve the ability to transport sediment.

- 3. Both pumps and motors are designed separately.
- The main objective of all flush water programmes is to prevent contamination of the seals by pumped water. The flush water programme for boxes is therefore very similar to the flush water programme for mechanically sealed boxes. However there are still some obvious mechanical differences. The most notable difference is the addition of a seal (packing) between the inlet and outlet limits. This minimises the amount of flushing fluid consumed.

- Slurry pumps with rubber lining are the ideal pump for the mineral sand industry. They have a special rubber lining that makes them heavy duty pumps capable of withstanding high levels of abrasion.

The impeller is considered the heart of the dredge pump and is similar to a fan that expels air and creates centrifugal suction. At the suction pipe, this vacuum absorbs the slurry and transports the material through the discharge line.

Nitrile Oil Seals - Nitrile oil seals, which is the commonly used term for acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber seals, is a very good general-purpose option due to the flexibility of use across a variety of components. The resistance is strong against fats, hot water, gasoline, mineral oils, grease and animal oils, making them the most often-used oil seals. They do not have a wide temperature range, making them a poor choice for machinery that can see extreme changes in temperature.
They are typically made from elastomers such as rubber or silicone and consist of an outer metal case with a sealing lip on the inner side.
OIL SEAL (LIP SEAL) VS. MECHANICAL SEAL: PROS & CONS OF EACH
How are they used?
Temperature - Just like pressure, the temperature that your oil seal will be operating in must be known so that you can choose one that can withstand the heat or cold. PTFE have the widest range of temperature, making them useful for machines who can see usage in extreme weather or elements.
Aluminum alloys and resin (materials with a large difference between the linear expansion coefficients) demand sufficient consideration (as there is a risk of failure due to the increased clearance with the oil seal at high temperatures).

front hub oil seal. Most mechanics recommend replacing the front hub oil seal every 60,000 to 80,000 miles, but this can vary depending on your driving habits and the conditions in which you drive.
JTEKT provides special seals for use in a wide variety of machines and applications.
